Disco 3 clutch pedal bracket
A friend has a disco 3 and has destroyed 4 clutches in 25K . It seems that the clutch pedal is not returning fully and preventing the slave cy from fully releasing. The master cy mounting appears to be distorted.Has anyone got experience of this problem and any tips on how to remove the bracket.

Yeah it's a known issue that on some cars the bracket snaps over time.
Not a regular stock item so you might have to search or special order if you want a new one.
I think your best option here is to remove it and weld/strengthen it and it will be fine. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

What is involved in removing it. Isigned up for the haynes manual and it was saying the foot brake assembly had to come out.It looks the sort of job that you need to have done a few times to know what is actually required.

Have a look below, but if you take account of the proximity to the wiring and combustibles it would seem worth trying to weld in place. I did one eons ago but can't recall now if I took it out or not.
