What a Dilema

I have today officially rejected my vehicle due to bad paintwork and am awaiting Land Rovers reply, the dealer has informed me that I will have to pay for the mileage on my vehicle and that I can order a new one as soon as LR get back to him. Now the fun begins what colour do I have as it seems all dark Colours show a lot of orange peel (supposedly acceptable standard) and I dont like Silver. Confused Confused

You could always go for White and save £500 Very Happy

This could be a more desirable colour in the future seeking as the Police are taking up more and more Silver vehicles (debate now whether White is a colour or all colours put together etc)

Debate?...... OK then...

If I remember correctly (which would be a first Rolling Eyes )
Colours in pigments are subtractive and colours in light are additive
Primary blue + yellow + red gives a mucky brown (near - black) in pigments and an almost - white in light...
So, on that basis, white as a pigment has no colour at all.... Shocked
however, pigments are not really 'coloured' as all they do is absorb light at all (visible) wavelengths except those that go to make up the colour you see Confused therefore, 'white' pigment reflects all wavelengths of visible light to make up the colour perceived as white (in natural light)
There ya go ! thats a start Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Cheers,

Must admit to being intrigued what Alpine Frost/Green looks like too, as you say on the website to looks like a slightly darker Zambezi Silver

White is good, looks great on a D3 unlike most cars and is £500 cheaper too Smile

My own is a white one... Wink The reasoning being that scratches would be less visible on white... Wink And cheaper too ! Wink

Excellent choice, I went for silver for the same 'scratch' reason

Are you going to be in Senegal next Feb/March when we pass through on the PBC?
