Bath is bringing in a LEZ that will charge £9 per day. If I were to go into Bath 5 days a week (I don't) for 46 weeks (52 less holiday) it would cost me £2070 in LEZ. That would cover nearly 6 years of the difference between buying an EU6 car and mine. Add in the additional depreciation of the EU6 car and buying an EU6 car for LEZ compliance just doesn't stack for me.
Dont forget to factor in the lower future resale value of the E5 and older models.
There will come a point where the low value/high tax and non E6 compliance will kill off all old large diesel cars.

Vs a 2019 D5 HSE at £60k (£11500 off list) LR Bristol offered £12,500 for my 2012 D4 HSE 81,000 miles with FLRSH inc belts and new brakes/pads.
Vs a 2019 Audi A6 Allroad Sport at £40k, Epsom Audi offered me £13,200.
Little point in selling the D4.
