At a guess instead of the towbar being of the Thule design, this one is by Westfalia, as I believe is the on the FFRR, which was almost identical to the Westfalia detachable I had fitted on a FL2 after I had three Thule detachables failed.

Adrian the bar is all steel and bolted to ends of chassis the centre mount for the tow hook has bolted plates on there so I would have thought it would be possible to bolt pieces on or weld to it to allow the figment of a NATO hitch

Is the metal bracket for the 13 pins electrics a thick piece of steel, or is it one of those thin, easily bent brackets ?

Thick piece of steel, could be bent but would take a fair bit to bend it, not like the old flimsy bits that used to hold the 7 pin sockets on most carsMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Thanks Russell its hard to see from the photos In fairness, the 13 pin fitting more twists into the socket rather than pushing straight in, so there is less change of bending the bracket.

Russell can you please post a pic of it fitted into the car with the plastic trim removed. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
