I’ve gone through a lot of D5s since December.
On my 10th courtesy car while I’m waiting my new build.
Whilst not all have been D5s...
2.0 32mpg (6000 miles otc)
3.0 29mpg (8000 miles otc)
Not keen on the 2.0l- much prefer the 3.0l
Towing- I really don’t enjoy towing with the D5. I don’t feel safe- it’s snaked several times. The D4 was a much better beast.

I didn’t monitor fuel economy on mine, I haven’t on any LR but I did get from Fife to Romford and a bit extra running around on a single tank, 620 miles in total. That was the 3.0 TD623.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
