D4 Road Tyres
There seems to be plenty of advice for off-road tyres. However as I will be on the road 99% of the time for about 12000 miles pa and towing a caravan for about 2000 miles a year I was looking for a recommendation for suitable tyres for my 2015 D4 HSE currently fitted with 255/50 R20.
Even still made here in the UK, for a short while anyway 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!
(One of only two known to exist in the world!)

Pirelli scorpion verde all seasons were recommended to me as like you I do almost entirely road driving. Had them on several months and seem fine. Apparently they are good in Winter weather although living in Kent they didn’t get much of a test this year.Gary

A few folks dont seem to like Pirelli scorpion verde all seasons, but I had them in 275/45x21's and was pretty impressed with them, and the wear rate was much better than I'd hoped for

I have a set of Michelin Latitude Tour HP, although mine are 19”, they do offer 20”.
Whilst I did get stuck in a field with them on Sunday (more my fault, as I got out with a loaded trailer), I have found them excellent on the road, very quiet and they improved my mpg (although I was coming from some variety of General Grabbers that made so much noise). Probably had them about 3 years now and they have done around 20-25,000 and tread life still seems very good.Andy
