No as they are different depending on the route you choose In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I have used mine in parallel with my Garmin and found that they both plan the same routes, I admit to always having a good look at the OS maps before setting out on a trip to an umfamiliar area but haven't really noticed problems with the system. I seem to recall someone mentioning that it could display your speed like the Garmin and TomTom systems but can't find any option for this. I only ask because in my preferred driving position the steering wheel tends to block the speedo.D4 SDV6 XS Orkney Grey
Tom Toms not perfect either - It seems to take you out of your way to get you onto a motorway that makes the journey longer!
When sitting a T-junction (with no restrcitions whatsoever) it told me to to "Turn right and then do a U-turn". WTF didn't it just tell me to turn left?Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.

'Tom Toms not perfect either -'
It's all down to the maps used, I have used a Garmin handheld, have TomTom on my mobile and have the LR system in the D3. At a local junction with no restrictions on turns all 3 tell me to proceed straight ahead to the next round about and effectively 'U' turn followed by a left turn at the said junction when all I want to do is make a perfectly legal right turn. My son's Sony system does exactly the same.D4 SDV6 XS Orkney Grey

Mine obviously does all the same silly routings described above. Mentioned it to the French dealership where I bought it and they recommended a Tomtom if you really don't know where you are going
Mind you they have shut down as a LR dealer and are switching to KIA's or something..... so if you get stuck in the alps dont bother with Grenoble LR.......TDV6 HSE AUTO

He guys it works great.
It allways gets me where I want to go and some times I think I know better and then I loose some time.
And yes I used it in the UK, Holland, Germany, Austria, France and Belgium with recent maps. I used it in slovenia and Kroatia with old maps and that was disappointing.Roel

Sorry it's in Dutch and with google translator it gets funny.
Look on the bright side guys it's like a magical mystery tour every time. ..... well some times it is
It's certainly taken me on some routes I never knew existed. Probably never use them again but at least I've tried them.
Old age and dimentia helps every route is a new one and it is always the right one....

I have had my D3 for a week now and I quite like the Sat Nav, the instructions seem better than the Mercedes Command that was in the car I just sold, that would tell you to 'Turn Left' as you drove past the turning!
My only criticism of the LR system is the colour scheme, the road colours are not what you expect and the screen does not have a night mode so it seems very bright at night.
