Has anyone been able to use the factory screen and added inputs from another device ?, also what hardware does the screen have in it if any.

My D3 has a GVIF installed. It is a little silver box located under the front passenger seat with loads of spare RCA cables (red, white and yellow plugs). I can't remember how many channels/inputs you can have but it's 3 or 4 I think.
One of my inputs is for the reverse camera. I've installed a front facing camera under my front bumper on the 2nd input, which is great for pulling into a car park. There is a little black button mounted on the dash to toggle between the inputs.
In my glove box there are RCA inputs so you can plug a DVD player in there.
Look under your front passenger seat to see if you have a GVIF, look from the 2nd row footwell.

I want to see if i can use it with an aftermarket head unit, i have a 7" screen i use now but would like it look more factory fitted if i can.
