Ipad mini holder discovery 3
Hi guys!
My first topic here on disco3:)
The sat nav in the lr3 is rather oldfasioned i think, I therefore wanted to be able to use an ipad as navigation on my long trips, wothout having to destroy the interior. So this holder that I've made on my 3d printer snaps in place over the original screen, and is easy to remove.
I haven't seen a holder like this anywhere else.
Take a look at the pictures, and let me know what you think of it.
PM me if you want one:)

Ipad holder
Very interested in your ipad holder, looks great. Is it for a full sized iPad?

Thanks for liking it SteveS:)
This is only for ipad mini, unfortunately.
I have not designed anything for the larger ones.

I was looking for a product just like yours for my D4 and iPad Pro 10.5. I think for travelling across Europe a cellular 4G enabled iPad would be the perfect companion for satnav and music!

I don't think my thingy will fit a Discovery 4. I don't have a D4 at hand to make one either. Sorry, but thanks for posting.
will it fit when there is no screen and just the cubby hole?Pete

I have no idea. Don't know the D4 at all. Sorry.
But if it's the same as a D3 it will fit.

Hi,
How does this fix onto the dash? Is it easy removed as sometimes I quite like to use the 4x4 info screen.
Also, how much are you charging for them, shipped to the UK?

This looks great. And so simple to fit and remove. May have to think about getting one of these.

Well I got one of these from Serigs this week and what a great idea. Nice and simple design and works really nicely, and both Waze and google maps are infinitely better than the built in sat nav!
