Actually that sounds about right, I do love it!
I do like the grill change that one of you has done, looks great, is it easy to do?

Thanks to my friend Tom, the D4.5 headlights are now flashable when they’re switched off or on the sidelights setting
Just need to get the DRL’s to work now!

Fancied having a heated steering wheel so bought all the required parts and had a go at fitting it all today. It went surprisingly well thanks to all the reading up I’d already done on here!
Finally, no more cold hands in the mornings!
Just need some D4 stalks to finish it off now....
Also remapped the car with a BAS map via my IID tool......seems more responsive but I’m pretty sure the turbo actuator is stuck/sticky so I’ll have a look at it when I get chance! Fuel economy seems to have dropped since the remap too which is a bit annoying!

Rear wiper arm was getting rusty and not making contact with the rear screen anymore so I bought a new one, much better!

Fitted a pair of later spec column stalks on the dark last night to finish off the wheel conversion, feel much nicer than the old D3 ones....

Looks the nuts
So the original cost of the D3 to make it look like a D4 was how much ?
How much would a D4 cost?
Don’t get me wrong it looks great but it’s still a D3 D3 HSE

I got the car cheap to begin with so I don’t mind spending a bit on it now and then. If I was to buy the equivalent D4.5 it would cost around 3 times what I’ve got in my D3!

Side-steps, do you really need them? Mine had to come off to fully uncover a sill that needed welding... yes they do rot, and the cause .... damp muck and rubbish that collected where the steps bolted on. Your bolts seized for a reason!
Once mine were off they stayed off!Dave

Don’t be silly mate, I didn’t take offence! Sometimes I think I’m crazy for doing so much to it!
