Cruise control strange behaviour lacking power |
|
Just recently my cruise is behaving like it can’t really be bothered! It’s just not getting up to speed and feels like it doesn’t have the power available to keep it at the set speed.
As soon as I activate it as usual with the + button it has lost about 4 or 5 mph and doesn’t catch back up unless going down hill. On the motorway if flattish and set at 70 it will sit about 65 or 66 until a hill and just slowly drops off a few mph at a time.
I just can’t sit with cruise on like I used to and not have to think about the speed, just started suddenly not behaving.
I assumed it is all electronic now but feels a bit like an old classic RR one with a weak vacuum at the throttle actuator. 2010 XS with lots of upgrades

I find my D3 needs a 1 or 2 second push to set the speed correctly. A brief push it will set at 2 or 3 mph slower than indicated speed
