Is one of my favourite TV progs.....
But this particular issue was incorrectly done with an imbalance in the way it was presented.
Very prejudiced to the anti's
True that a few spoil it for the many......I have my D3 commented on when parked in a country area by a flock of diehard "ramblers" who forgot they travelled to the area in a petro/diesel vehicle of their own.
These groups seem to attract a special sort of person sort of a "born again swampy" cabbage sandwich eating type who will protest at anything & provide little to society as a whole.
Maybe the lady in question levitates along every where she travels & the power to her levitation is from a renewable non fossil fuel source.
The way around this is to join the group & & protest from within......notably they do the same similar to sports cars.....the anti gas guzzler fraternity. Presumably they all live in windmills ....BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Cars that require huge amounts of countryside to be ripped up and replaced by tarmac!
If anything, off road capable vehicles are are better for the longevity of the countryside as we can use what is thereDisco gone

I actually thought it showed the proper users of green lanes in a good light but Mrs Stubbs just showed what an intolerant old bitch she is Cheers Ian

Exactly!
Ramblers can "ramble" wherever they damn well want to.... footpaths/coastal paths/byways/open fields/mountains etc..... we are limited to roads be they new or ancient. Even in cities like Bristol they are trying to limit access by motors Dave

I notice that they claim :
"We believe that green lanes should be for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and carriage drivers."

So HRH Phil the Greek will be legal.

Whilst I am a walker as well, I found the answer to this FAQ highly hypocritical,
Q. If offroaders do their own repairs does this make offroading OK?
Claiming its a self serving interest...what does the national parks authority do with volunteers....repair footpaths for walkers!Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

You think that's bad AAA, to improve disabled access they have levelled and in some places tarmaced the miners' track!==================================

For once it did seem quite balenced, maybe even favourable towards the off roader, and they did stress the illegal side as well and not just with a passing single line comment.Joined the BMWX5 45e group

I just don't understand how they can say that legal green laning causes such damage. The bit that I thought was just ridiculous was when she said there should be x (can't remember what it was) growing here - it's a road, why should you expect stuff to be able to grow on it?
If this is affecting walkers so badly, surely that argument is the same as if we were to say we want them tarmacked (not that we do, of course) for our use - and would that sound reasonable? No, of course not. I don't see green-laners complaining about people walking/riding/cycling on these routes.
The other bit that annoyed me was the suggestion that the large amount of damage caused by agricultural vehicles is OK because they're doing it for a job, but yet a few additional 4X4s aren't acceptable.
The safety argument is also nonsense. How many people have actually been injured because of such and how is it any worse than walking along a pavement?
Anyway, I'm preaching to the converted here...
