Where can I go off road?? Help needed for newbie in devon

Hi all

I'm new to Devon and my Disco3 and want to start going off road. It's not modified but will be running at2 s soon, I'm new to 4x4 ing and want to approach it safely and legally. Are there any events that I can go to and meet some other like minded people and watch and learn, and maybe join in if I fit the criteria. I've spent weeks on the internet trying to find places, even paynplay sites but am getting nowhere. Any help much appreciated

Seawolf - we come down to that area a lot and would be very interested in a trip around some non-damaging lanes (in both senses, environmentally and to my new to me D4 Laughing ) if you're up for some guiding one mutually convenient weekend day?

I'm in Exeter

I've booked a trec day with LR later in the year but would love to get out and about beforehand

Want to try and keep paint on the car etc and I've only got standard underbody etcetc so sounds great
Quite happy to travel so just let me know when you next go out and are happy for me to tag along
