I've got Cooper LTZ's on mine and Cooper STT's on the D2. No experience of ATT's but I'm delighted with what I have fitted.
Also nearly everyone of my friends run on Coopers and NO complaints from anyone.2008 G4 D3 vehicle No 11. UK selections.

Thanks pal. Only just seen this.
I'm getting a set of these fitted tomorrow. Its all I could get in my time frame. It'll be interesting to see how they compare to my AT3s and my previous Duratracs.

The AT+ is an off-road biased tyre. The ATR is a racing slick in comparison. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Pirelli designed the AT+ to look a lot more āaggressiveā than the ATR. The later being sometimes criticised for looking to tame. In reality it was actually very good off-road, especially on a modern LR with the terrain response system.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Those Avonās look good. Iāve not read any reviews of them. Will be interesting to hear how you get on with them and how well they wear. š2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Indeed. The AT+ is meant for the US market (primarily) and they like their tires to look chunky and aggressive. Just like the fronts on the pickup trucks.
I can happily report that in Finland the AT+ tires that Iāve got on have gotten some curious looks at traffic lights but also at gas stations by other people.
I do like them and have now driven approximately 4000 km with them in the short time that Iāve had them on. I have not measured the noise level but it is not something Iām concerned with (= either music is too loud, the minions in the back make more noise or Iām going deaf ). Havenāt noticed any issues with stability in rainy situations either. Speeds between 0 km/h and approximately 120 km/h
FWIW I paid 150 e/tire including 24% VAT and shipping.

Pirelli state that the AT+ is off-road biased 60/40, not the usual 50/50 of an AT. That's what I was referring to although I admit that how I wrote it gave little clue to that.
The ATR is an excellent tyre, but I think the AT+ will shade it off road. On road, the ATR might be better although I've found the AT+ to be very good, even when "making progress" down an interesting road. The Grabber AT3 is a better tyre on road than the AT+, in my experience, but the I think the AT+ would be better off road in extremis. Both are very good tyres.
Looking on Pirelli's website, it appears the ATR is no longer available in 19 inch. That's the main reason I've never gone back to the ATR - Pirelli's supply of it is not consistent.
I do think that the ATR is a bit like the Vred Wintrac. Both got a reputation for being the go-to tyre of their type. But both have been left behind a bit by tyre developments. The Vred often did poorly in tests even whilst still being put forward by people hereabouts as the go-to winter tyre. Other AT tyres are as good/better than the ATR these days. They're also easily available, unlike the ATR. And they are winter rated too, again, unlike the ATR.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
