conrods!!!
DISCO is 2013 with 170,000 kms
Dirty rattle came in the engine and took back to dealer. they said it was 2 of the injectors had failed. When they eventually got the injectors "took 3 weeks to arrive" they rang and said it was now the engine was the problem and it has to be replaced. They claim parts of a conrod were found in the sump.
Now looking for 16k to replace engine. Is this correct. Why did they blame the injectors. How is an engine soooo dear !!! which I can get from the UK for €7,000 PLUS VAT delivered. JLR only offering a 20% good will on cost for a vehicle they have been servicing from new at a f##king premium every time.
Not to mention the problem with the interior lights not coming on when a door opens. Not to mention the parking sensors having to be rewired at 8000 kms and not to mention the radio turning off every now and then with a big crack from the speakers !!!!

John Craddock in the Uk. But all ancillaries to be transferred from old engine. The recommended replacing the turbo also so with that included it adds up to €9,000 plus vat but it's uk so no vat applies here in irl

Yes but thats not really the sort of thing that should be confused with a dodgy injector!

Couldn't agree more which is why I have my doubts about the diagnosis. Me thinks an independent opinion is my next step before I go any further. Also the dealer has yet to put any report or results in writing. The quote for the repairs was simply a phone call only not a single email.
