Brake hoses
Good morning looking for a little assistance as my D4 brake pipes are 10.5 years old and corroded in places I am looking at replacing the hoses with the braided terraferma ones, the question is should I or should I just replace with like for like as the have lasted 10.5 years , [/b]

I was in a similar situation where the brake pipes had rust so they had to be replaced anyhow and decided to move from the rubbery brake hoses to braided ones at the same time.
This is just me but considering the “average” Terra firma quality I would never trust them with something as critical as brakes. Sorry but not sorry. Now, if someone says “they’re great, you must have had an isolated case” - no, it’s just that their quality controls are, at best average, and they don’t really care. Very common attitude for all aftermarket parts manufacturers. Don’t get me started.
I do have SSBs from HEL Performance, however. You can get a complete kit nowadays for D3/D4.
I’m kind of counting on both the pipes and SSBs lasting the remaining lifetime of the vehicle which is now 20 years old.
