Bluetooth Disco3 vs Blackberry 8900

Just to inform that I've done the update of my Blackberry 8900 (New firmware 5.0.0.100).

Now the phonebook is working properly.

Wize Dave, can you point me at the link you downloaded the Firmware upgrade from. Looking at the Blackberry site the versions are still V4.6.1. ...

With oyur upgrade can you see names of contacts as well as their numbers now?

Hope you can help as I cannot find the answer on the Blackberry site.

Cheers

It might be down to your mobile company blocking the new firmware from being downloaded from the BB website.

I've had six new firmware notifications through recently, and each time I've gone to the Blackberry Updates site, RIM won't let me download it because Vodafone have blocked it somehow Evil or Very Mad

Try this...

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5ZSBLB04

and have fun...

Yes, in my little experience all seams to work... the only little thing is that you see the name/surname of the last call in the central display instead the one you're calling...

Better than nothing, I guess...

Sorted although it took a while.

My employer was blocking upgrades with it's security policy.

Solution: Wipe the handheld and effectivley deactivate it taking it back to factory settings and removing company security software.

Upgrade Desk top software to latest version (5.0.1.18 ) then upgrade the BB to the latest software version (4.6.1.310/platform 4.2.0.127 in my case).

Finally get a new activation code from company/netwrk provider and Robert's your mother's brother.

update for BB Tour 9630?

I have my new Tour 9630 bluetoothed to my 2005 LR3 HSE and now the radio will not unmute. It will when I disconnect the Bluetooth, but when the blue light on my Tour is flashing, then the radio will not play.

All I can get out of Telus Alberta Canada re my CDMA Tour is the v4.7 update. Is there any newer BlackBerry Tour 9630 update available and I wonder it that would resolve the unmute problem?
