Not that I have any experience of Amsterdam, I have heard that they have some very nice cakes and biscuits for sale in some shops  .

Oh God wife No 2 was Dutch  Spent many happy years in Holland, didn't bother about the cakes though 
It was the speck with 100's and 1000's for breakfast that put me off.
