Hi lgs,
I've been running that size in BFGs without problem. (Although I do deflate the spare to fit it in the standard spot.)
I suspect that your problem is due to the aftermarket rims. What's the offset & rim width on them?
Best Wishes,

I think you are right Peter, my rims are 7x17 offset 20. The width is smaller so the circumference is bigger.
I will fit these tyres on my genuine rims.

Hi Igs,
if you change them as you say, back to the original rims, you will be ok. I have run them on those with no problems what so ever for a few months now.

I was told the 18's were too big and would foul the inner arches thats why I went for the 17's.
There may be some slight rubbing with 265/65R18, but BF Goodrich have since released the 265/60R18 K02 which are a better fit. No rubbing and will fit in the spare wheel compartment without deflating.

Igs, yepp, original rims 17" as you can see on the pictures above. no spacers. Have run them through the winter now and have to say I`m rather impressed. They have tried cold ( -15 C ) and wet snow, no problems.
