I wish they did these in 255/55/19. I have got the original KO on my D1 and they are by far the best tyres I've ever had on anything by a country mile.Jarrod

I have had these on mine for about a year now. The spare will only fit underneath if its deflated so that you can squash it in. I've been off road several times never had any clearance issues and no rubbing.

Land Rover Paul - Thanks for the heads-up regarding the spare.
I'll order 4 for now and keep the current Grabber spare, then when I get a puncture get it fixed immediately. I realise that fitting different sized tyres is not good, but as I'll only do a maximum of 15 miles on the spare, it's not a worry...

Then finally I got to try them on the slippery slopes, and the verdict is that they are very good on snow.
Drove to my caravan to pick up the skicarrier box to try it on the new Front Runner Slimline II and it was a little ice and snow with temps around -1 degree celsius.Tried a few slopes with ice on them and the tyres performed perfect both climbing up and rolling down...
As for fuel economy, not so impressed, as mentioned before more like 12L/100km now as opposed to 0,9L/100km on the standard 255/55X19, but as expected.

I was told the 18's were too big and would foul the inner arches thats why I went for the 17's.

18" is as small as I can go (D4 - compmotive wheels) but they say that they work (minor rubbing on wheel arch plastic when new, and on full lock) - wondered about real-world experiences.....

Hi, ive got 18inch comps and would like to run 265 65 18, but there is such mixed reviews to if they fit or if you do actually need a lift to lose the rubbing.
cheers mike

You can adjust the amount of lock if it's rubbing. However I bought a D3 over a D2 to void things like crappy steering lock!!!
