And if you read the comments, one person seems to remark about two different crank manufacturers, with all the faults being associated with one brand and none with the other. Do t know if that’s the case, but could be worth trying to find out.

On the 3.0 tdi engine all the problems seem to be with the Genmot cranks but ive never come across the problem on the Dex cranks, problem seems to be splitting across the crank webs.
Maybe @mikey will know about them plse

So found this where its states ref Dex
New, original 306DT forged crankshaft. Fresh manufacturing date 2023+. For years 2009 to 2020, any power output.

Also wonder if it failed due to oil dilution from incomplete dpf regens where only short journeys were done allowing the viscosity of the oil to get thinner and thinner leading to the slow destruction of the engine ?
