Noticed a strange thing yesterday, was cruising down past Pavilion just touching the accelerator at 120 km/hr and she was sitting in 5th gear,2500 rpm, should have been in 6th gear, any ideas or comments. Only changed to 6 th once I got to the bottom of the hill.


No idea Noel. Those adaptive gearboxes literally have a mind of their own. Does this happen often?

Not at all.
The remap only affects the diesel engine ECU. The gearbox has its own brain.

Hi Noel,
Quite normal,mine does the same.I use command shift to force it into 6.I think the outo stay in 5th to maintain the speed on a light throttle and downhill,otherwise it will pick up speed....not sure.Not to worry.

We can enable the 4x4 info, speech recognition and that's about all for the D4. Still no nav on the go capability

Hi Greg

The remap will increase your engine performance by about 25kw and 80m. We can also add a performance intercooler for additional gains. Have a search around the forum for remap and you will find lots of info.

Sorry about the name mix-up. I might come to pmb tomorrow, otherwise do you still come down fairly regular? Is it quick and easy to check whether the remap is still in place as I'm not sure after all the services that nothing has been overridden? just looking for peace of mind. Yes we are here every couple of weeks during the school term.
Easy to check the map and reapply if necessary. Just call me if you are coming up. Early morning would be most convenient but anytime before lunch is doable, after that we have a function on at school and will be leaving for JHB about 3.

I am in Durban and would like to make use of your services activating a few modules on my 09 TDV6 SE.
