AUX audio quality

I get really bad audio quality from the aux, is there anyway to improve it somehow? Anyone else experience bad aux quality?

I was using a Bluetooth audio dongle with aux before, and recently installed a CarPlay unit using the original HU which i was hoping would improve the audio quality. It does not and only "highjacks" the aux signal from inside the dash with a aux piggyback cable. So audio quality is the same. It sounds really bad, like a bad FM signal or something... Really "grainy". Weird thing is, it starts of ok but seems like the Audio quality degrades after a short while when it gets "hot" Confused

I have a 2011 D4 with DENSO headunit and Harmon Kardon Logic7 Speaker system.

Aux is always quieter than the main sources and slightly worse quality. There’s a chain somewhere but some have found that if your using a splitter on the aux wiring like yourself, the. Plugging a blanked plug into the rear aux socket helps the quality.

2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Tonga GreenDiscovery 3

I did it and at first I connected it to the auxiliary input cables using current-stealing plugs…and it sounded terrible, then I tried to directly solder the CarPlay input lines with the D3's Car 400 AUX lines and from then on the sound was perfect, just like the device itself in quality…only a very small loss in volume was noticed. This equipment did not have a rear auxiliary input to be able to connect an external cable directly to the Car400 equipment, it only allowed you to connect it to the available input behind the cubibox, so I had to intervene in the connector itself that is plugged directly behind the sound equipment.
just like this!

Plugged a blank aux plug into the aux and that helped the audio volume, almost blew my ears out Laughing
But the audio quality itself remains absolutely trash Crying or Very sad I bought a very short high quality aux cable for behind the dash I will try instead of the on that came with the carplay unit, that one was like 2m or something. Otherwise I know no other idea then to solder it if that presumably will help like the above post
