Hello All, Finally getting round to posting pics of our road trip to Arizona over the New Year. Game plan was to go and enjoy the warmth, but we ended up taking record lows with us Disco was a champ as always
Wigwam Motel, Holbrook AZ. Bloody freezing, it was 10F when we left in the morning - rear tailgate was frozen shut.
Made it!
Coyote strolling around near our AZ home
We drove down to Tombstone to see the OK Corral. Guy in the Saloon we went to for lunch had lived there for 8 years and never seen a flake of snow before - just our luck. Gunfight re-enactments cancelled.
There was even snow just south in Northern Mexico. We did not time it well.
Quick spin past Pinal Airpark to see what was there (I have a bunch more pics if anyone is interested)
Canyon De Chelly on the way home
Then on to Monument Valley - one of my favorite spots in the USA. 10F again. We did around 100 miles of completely snow packed country backroads as part of the route. Glad we were in the Disco.
Great trip - heading down there again in April. Fingers crossed no snow this time '80 109 Stage 1 V8 - still going strong!

I do miss being able to drive the distances and wild areas you have in US, it looks a lot different to when I was there

Great pics. Yes please re Pinal pics.
And none of food!! Now I know where I’m going wrong.
Oh go on then DSL! Here are a few more Pinal shots. I tend to swing by most times we are down there to see whats new. It's just up the road from our gaff there.
Sad to see the number of 747's destined to turn into tin cans - including the SP hiding away at the back
Sorry to let you down on food pics - do the Lemons in my back garden count?

Lemons look lovely.
And a DC-10 and a 727 in there, can’t remember the last time I saw either of those. Sad to see old girls up out to pasture like that.

Great picks as ever.
Derek - I actually saw a 727 at Malaga last summer - looked like it was privately owned but not cargo - and Lufthansa operate MD-11’s into ManchesterNow Golf GTI PP, 7 speed DSG.

I’ve seen the MD-11s on flight tracker but not in reality. I think the last one I saw was a Dutch AF DC-10, pos ar RIAT years ago.
