Coffeecup, I agree that the 60mph would make far more sense. But surely the LR handbook would have had to have 4 mistakes for both km/h and mph in terms of 'feature change' and 'return to normal' settings

Presumably if it does actually work and assuming I actually drove at over 100mph (very unlikely) does it work on all D3s, or would it be added as part of a software upgrade?
Would be good if it came in at 60mph though, I do go that fast quite often, as soon as I get off the M25 anyway!
Has anyone actually tested it, though how you'll tell I don't know, get a ruler out? The End

Seems a bit of a waste. I managed 100mph the other day but it took ages to get there from 90 and was hardly sustainable as the beast is running out of puff plus trying to deal with a hell of a lot of air resistance.
Suppose you try to get to 100 to get it to kick in then keep your speed above 80.

To be realistic croyde, to travel at those speeds is a total waste of money and effort in a Landy of any sort, even a RR.

Just been for 'blast' on a 'private road', easily achieved an indicated 105, if anything, it got there a bit quick and I backed off the go pedal to keep it there, didn't feel the suspension lower though and nothing to indicate it was doing it  i suppose i'll have to hang one of the 5's out of the tailgate with a tape-measure next time  
Pulled well from 80 in top, front end lifted slightly when I booted it  ....or did the back end sit down?
tried in both directions so as to eliminate any wind speed advantage
also seemed to tighten up in the corners and didn't lurch when coming out of them... unlike the 'retro'

Now I'm wondering if that is down to the HSE. We have one at the mo' and the handling feels tauter than our S.
Steering is a little heavier (sporty) and maybe the 19 ins tyres help. Handling not speed, of course.
Would there be any other differences?

It should be the same 'box and engine mapping... (mine's a manual. '06 spec, so it should have the latest software) nice and lively on the throttle though...

Have to say mine will cruise at 100mph all day with very little effort!
But the difference going faster makes a great difference, trying to catch a ferry when in France earlier this month & flat out the limiter kicks in at 115mph & at 110 mph it all becomes a lot harder!
I have also checked the speedo against my hand held GPS & at 100mph GPS the car is reading 102 mph approx! D5 HSE Waitona Grey 2015

Nick that evaluates to about 108 mph in reality. With foot flat down, the limiter should be why the car is tettering on the speed and off it.
