NOP World Automotive survey |
|
Anyone else got one? I got a letter from Phil Popham,MD of LR UK. Inviting me to log on to a survey site and enter a code word printed on the letter.
Anyway, got 15 minutes into it, and was just getting p*ssed off with answering questions about how much I wanted to pay for servicing, when the site crashed!!
So sod em, I'm off to bed. G'night all.

Just tell the truth and mention the forum.
Its mainly about purchase decision, driving, technology, features etc.

Nothing major. I'm not very happy with the paint finish (orange peeling arund the rear three quarters) and the wooden dash is coming away (dealer fit). The handbook is crap and needs to be rewritten and I'm miffed that they've included RR functionality in the car without the ability to activate (TV, FBH etc). The dealers don't really know the cars and I learn ten times more from this site. If we do need to wait until the bong before turning the key, this should be clearly stated in the handbook. I don't like the fact that the PTI wasn't available until recently, despite being in the brochures and that it now costs the best part £1,000 to have it retrofitted with only 75% of the functionality. Fuel consumption isn't what they claim and I'd like one-touch operation of the passenger window. I could go on............
Genreally, no big problems - I still LOVE this car. Java TDV6 HSE with Alpaca and a few other fancy bits

I think that is a fair personal opinion to start with. Others will add no doubt.

I know we all have had problems with our vehicles some worse than others, I have rejected mine due to paint defects. But remember that what ever you say to which may affect the price you get for your vehicle when ever you come to sell, not individually but we all get tarred with the same brush.

Quite correct, but it would be far better to get the fixes done and dusted now before we get to selling them on in a year to two years time, when it would make resale very difficult. Public have very short memories so better now than later.

BN I agree we need to get the fixes done but you can still put LR on the spot without compromising your own costs and pocket, I am not suggesting that you lie but that you give a truthfull opinion when asked and not let the faults cloud your judgement. I.E when asked if I thought the vehicle was value for money I answered yes as I think it is even though I had a major fault and a new vehicle ordered, it is little things like that that will make a difference to the fianl outcome of the survey IMHO

scorpio, agreed, I think somewhere on site I said exactly that, tell the truth.
My comments would be the vehicle (when working) does exactly what it says on the tin and more.
When broken it is not value for money and it does break a lot. Indeed you have a replacement vehicle, I don't, I have two broken ones. That is Not value for money.

I did receive a survey to fill in and send back...
But mine is :
- in French,
- in paper,
- more like what car would you have bought if not a DIII...
Seems they are more backward in France ! But more reliable than a buggy website !!

Update:
Got a letter from Which the other day saying that the Feb '06 issue will have the survey and interviews in it.
Be interesting to see if they quote me correctly or not - mind you - they are not LROI are they
No need to suck up to LR
