Access Height Fault

When I drop my D3 to access height, it goes into extended mode. It then tells me to clear the obstacle before resetting the suspension height. This is on my driveway. I have checked and the cat/dog is not under the car when I lower it Razz . Any advice on possible faults or what makes the car decide it stuck on an obstacle would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

I too have had this problem over the last couple of days..
Test your rear brake lights are working and the bulbs are in good order
Also have you tried lowering without touching the brake pedal, mine would only fault if I pressed/released brake pedal while halfway through lowering

Hope this helps
Damien

Sounds like a dodgy height sensor to me.

Thanks for that Daim. I did not touch the brakes when lowering as it was in park. Have some new height sensor rods to fit this weekend so will check/clean the actual height sensors at the same time. Is there any way to test the height sensors to see which one could be faulty? I have a faultmate msv2 extreme (only just got it).

Thanks

I needed a new compressor to fix that.....thought that would do it,but car still lowers itself to access height overnight,so think I have further issues

Read the codes in the suspension module. You may be showing an intermitant fault in one of the sensors. But for this problem it may not be registering at all.

At any rate the new sensors are different then the originals so you might as well replace them all and recalibrate.
