Acceleration hesitation at rolling stops

Has anyone else experienced this? I have been driving it in "rain" mode, which seems to solve the problem, but is driving in that mode 100% of the time on dry surfaces okay for the truck?

Thanks in advance!

If there's a problem with 'lag' there are several TSB's that should help your dealer resolve the issue - mostly by software download

Has the battery been disconnected recently?

I noticed that after mine had been in for it's 'aesthetic enhancement' during which the battery must have been disconnected, it showed slight signs of this.

Subsequently the auto-box has re-learned my style and all was ok again after 3 days.

Mine does this too. Rolling up to a junction, it can occasionally be a second or two before the transmission responds to throttle. Pain in the bum.

Thank you for your responses

I have contacted the dealer to see if they know about the problem and have the software fix. We'll see what they say. By "rain mode" I mean snow, ice or any wet surface. It has a snowflake picture on the dial for off-road modes.

The OP actually has a V8, so there must be a problem, rather than the normal turbo lag with the tdv6.

Deffo a problem, especially as G/G/S retards throttle action, not enhances it.
The TSB's I referred to relate to the Petrol engine specifically LTB00013v2 'slow acceleration from a standing start'

Thanks for the replies

I have the V8, so that's not the problem. The dealer said they knew of the issue and had the proper software fix. It's at the shop now, we'll see if things improve! Thanks again.

I am interested to here if the problem is solved since I am considering purchasing an LR3. Someone recently mentioned this issue to me. Since I have 3 children this seems to be a bit of a problem. Like what was already mentioned about pulling into traffic. If you hit the pedal and then nothing....

G'day Chaps, well despite being upsdiee down we have the same problem here. My 2007 D3 does this exact hesitation thing but the dealers here are too incompetant to fix it, I have had it back about 8 times and they say they have reflashed the ECU and xmn but the problem persists.

Is there a TSB number etc or S/W patch # I can quote to these bozos?

As others have said it can be disconcerting to pull out and have it go into "think" mode for a second or two - especially if the family is in the car and there is a truck bearing down!!

cheers
