ACC (adaptive Cruise Control) Retrofit
Many may know that the high end RRS's and FFRR L322's have an option above the regular cruise control handled by the EMS control called Adaptive Cruise Control.
This is no simple system and incorporates not only a dedicated ECU but radar sensor that is mounted in the front bumper that costs almost 2k alone.
On my last visit to the the UK at billing quite a few expressed a desire to do this and a certain member has been endlessly pressing me for developing it.
Beyond physical fitment of the sensor itself somewhere in the front bumper area, i now believe that i can supply all other items, knowledge and even a wiring loom all in the sub 500 GBP range for up to six.
This mod is absolutely not for the faint hearted as you will need to add ACC in the CCF as well as your steering wheel controls, but i have checked that it is fully supported by the D3 and it's instrument pack messaging capability. The front mounted Radar sensor also needs to be calibrated using requisite diagnostic equipment such as an MSV-2.
Any takers ?

This is something I have been considering for a while, but the size of the 'radar' unit is a problem with my ARB bumper ...Regards,
