AC fault code

B11FF-84 (2C) Air conditioning refrigerant pressure - Bus signal/message failure - signal is below allowable range

Got this today, timing is when I ran the car for 10 mins to de-snow the car. A search reveals only one entry with that code so nothing to help me. Any thoughts anyone? Could it be coz the air intake for the heating was covered in a few inches of snow til I hit that bit cleared? Question

isn't that code telling you its low refrigerant pressure, had this on my d3 last winter when it turned really cold I assumed it must have been borderline low pressure pushed to too low when it got real cold, had it recharged its been fine since then (last winter)

wouldn't have thought it was due to snow on the vent as it no different to pushing the recycle button is it ??
 please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick,thankyou

Low pressure would suggest leak somewhere. Confused Confused I've got until summer to get it sorted, hopefully just a leaky condenser (had one on my D3) which is covered by WD. Thumbs Up

Just weird that the code only comes up once on a search. Confused

PS Wasn't that cold when the cold was triggered, maybe -1.5c. Thumbs Up

might not be a leak,do you know when the system was last recharged ? on mine I had a feeling it had never been regassed (10 yrs old) as there was no sign in the service history (if you keep a close eye on your fluid levels you will notice they go down a bit when it turns really cold) I assume it must be the same for the a/c gas if your borderline low pressure

I did expect to spend on mine but a regas and uv dye added its been ok for a year now (famous last words lol)

I don't think it's been regassed since it left the factory 6 1/2 years ago, not far off the same age I started having issues with the AC leaking in my D3. New condenser fixed it. Thumbs Up

Will get a regas with UV dye, should help spot a leak before summer, if there is one. Thumbs Up
