I have just had my renewal notice from the AA - Silver membership with breakdown insurance.
£311
Is this a special price for Land Rover owners!?
Does this seem reasonable?

I thought these things were 'fixed price menu' costs? Sounds like it's going the way of any insurance renewal; sting the loyal customer and discount the newbies......
Afraid my moral high-ground instinct would take over and I'd move to a competitor with the inevitible phone call "we notice you've not renewed your cover" which is when I let rip usually.......

My daughter inherited my late wife's AA card (born in 77 but according to card member since66), every year when her renewal arrives it's for an astronomical figure 1 phone call later and she pays not much more than last year.
As Astonbuilder I hate these who try to shaft loyal customers. Displaced Yorkshireman.

On renewal my monthly cost went up, I phoned and questioned it and they reduced. Mines is £302 per annum. Would do without it, I have had egr and alternator replaced in last 12 months and both have been covered.

Just dumped AA. (just the emergency help)
every year they renew it with some stupid figure, i call asking why it has doubled since last year and i have never even used them !!
Then they drop it to something sensible around what i paid the year before.
Told them to shove it after they justified the increase due to them investing £5m into their services. I suggested they pay for it out of their profits rather than my bank account. James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.
