Topics merged - this is very, very unlikely to a D5 mule given it is exactly the same as a D4 other than the wing mirrors.
My current theory is that it's undergoing winter sign off for new wing mirrors 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

LR5 and dealership mutterings |
|
So after a chat the other day with my local dealership (was in there sorting out a new freelander for the mother-in-law), they were happily proudly chatting about the new rangie, not really suitable for my needs...especially with a start price of over £80k!
But I asked if there was any news on an Disco 5 and he said that there is one firmly on the way, sharing the tricks of the Rangie with a flavour of evoque styling. Nothing about time scales or equipment levels as yet though
anyone shed any light or know anymore?

Bit more narrative around the story here. 2015 is fine for me and, frankly, if it looks very similar and rides on the same chassis then I am quite relaxed. I don't need it to get to 60 in seven seconds so a slight lightened and restyled D4 TDV6 is fine. I would like it to be under 225 g/CO2/KM mind. My V6 TT is over that level and the used values are poor due to the £450 car tax. Still does better mpg than the Disco mind!

I'm not buying the story, the T5 chassis in current form is too heavy. My money is on MY 2014 variant. 16 D4 Landmark

So when is Disco 5 out then?? |
|
Need to decide how long to hang onto the current Disco 4 ?
I've heard that Disco 5 will be early 2015?? Might struggle to make the current car last that long - so trying to decide whether to chop in on something else until then?
If it was going to be next Autumn I would probably hang on.
any ideas?

Strange that if the FL3 is about a year away that the D5 would be 2 years after that.
