Has anyone found a good way to add the speed camera POIs yet? I'm continually getting the "My POI is corrupt or incorrect. Please select another file to import." message when I try to add mine (correct GPX format, separate folders for each camera type, GPX and BMP only in each folder, etc.)
I found that the smaller files - under 1 MB - for Specs and Red Light cameras loaded OK. But the larger files >1 MB start to import, then seem to time out and generate the error message.
I'm going to try two more things this afternoon ... newer, faster USB memory stick. And if that fails, I'll use an XML editor to chop the larger files down into smaller <1MB ones ... but that seems like a lot of faff.

Yes, I signed up to pocketgpsworld and downloaded the 30 Dec version of the 'Other - GPX' file - first tried the all-cameras-in-one file version, then (following the other suggestions here) the individual files for different camera types.

Are the individual .gpx and .bmp in individual folders ?
Might also be worth formatting your USB stick beforehand 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Everything in separate folders, just the .gpx and .bmp file in each, with matching names.
Am just formatting a good quality Sandisk USB stick into Fat32 as we speak. That isn't a quick process

Problem solved: it's all down to the USB memory stick, and using a good quality, fast one.
To start with I was using cheap giveaway ones. These did not work. In fact, they were noticeably slow copying the files onto the stick from my laptop.
I then used a SanDisk Cruzer Blade 16GB, newly formatted to FAT32 (full format, not quick format).
I copied the directory structure where each camera type was in a subfolder. e.g. I had a subfolder called 'gatso' containing only gatso.gpx and gatso.bmp
This all then imported first time into the car with no errors, no problems.

sorry to resurrect an old thread - any idea how us 2012 owners can find out if we can update the software so that we can upload POIs??

As an update to new owners, I've just succesfully managed to add the pocketgps database on my MY2016 Discovery.
I have an iMac and used Stuffit expander for the zip files rather than the useless one apple provides.
I used the "other gpx" files that pocketgps listed and added the mobile, pmobile, gatso, redlight and specs file.
I tried and failed initially with an el cheapo memory stick but used a decent quality fast one in the end.

I also have the pocketgps loaded following the instructions on here. all worked well.
One question: For the audible alert, what do folks have these set to ? It seems its either a doorbell sound or some sort of alarm. Just a simple beep would do. Any idea if this can be customised further?
Second question : I seem to only get alerts when the Navi Voice is enabled. Otherwise it silent. Is that correct ? Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond
Sadly Gone : MY08 D3 TDV6 HSE : Stornoway + Alpaca + Privacy + BAS Remap

Do you need to pay to download from pocketgpsworld or is there a free link?

You pay for the speed camera database but other POIs are free 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

You can download .csv files and convert them into .gpx by using POIEdit
Select the Garmin CSV files then convert via
