2011 Discovery 4 EGR replacement 3.0 V6
Anyone done this on this engine? I have seen loads of cute Youtube videos but all for the D3 and none very helpful.
Any pointers? I have the Workshop manual but it is opaque to say the least..

Yes, it's doable. But be very careful when undoing the 2x M6 bolts that hold the pipe to the exhaust manifold. These get very tight and are prone to snapping. If they snap, then the only option is to lift the body off to allow access to drill them out.
If you're just changing the valve, then I would suggest that undo the 2x screws (4mm hex) that clamp the pipe to the valve. Tricky, but the cursing is loads less than that feeling when the bolt snaps.Joe
