There is a vibration issue fitting the 20" alloys to diesel RRS's. The problem comes from the non-supercharged cars not being fitted with damped steering racks.
Dealers have been fitting damped racks to RRS's - it's definitely worth a search on RRSPORT.CO.UK as they're the bling kings 8)

Doesn't Mr Bling have 20" or bigger wheels on his D3? Maybe he will comment.

This was the same message that LR put out for TD6 RR as well. I beleive it was so that they didnt get any comeback if 20"'s were fitted and the problem occured. It why 20" were not offered as an option on the deisel.
I had 20" RR alloys on my TD5, and never had any issues, other than tyre choice and price for 255/50x20 or 265/45x20 being stupid when compared with a 255/55x19.

Hi,
I've fitted 20" RRS wheels to my D3 and I can say that it was the best thing that i've done for a long time. The only problem I had was my main dealer would not order them for me ( I think they're p***ed of because the car never came from them) so I ordered them from Sturgess. The original 19" will be going on ebay shortly if anyone's intrested only covered 1000 miles.

Please, please, please post pics
Did i say please. At least one person before said they had done this, but he never followed up with pics.
Marshalls LR in Melton Mowbray are selling a Bonatti D3 that is blinged up, colour coded, a silver grill, chrome bits and 20" alloys, don't know what they are though, I think it was the DP's car.Zermatt silver 06 reg.
Are you sure the RRS wheels are load rated high enough for the D3?
Would have thought that since the S/C weighs more than any D3 (petrol, Diesel manual & auto), you'd be OK.
Additionally, maximum axle weights for the RRS are above the D3, which would suggest that any RRS wheel would be suitable for the D3, unless I'm missing something.
Max. axle weights are given in my brochure as:
D3 Front 1280,1296,1302 (petrol, Diesel manual, Diesel auto)
D3 Rear 1424,1412,1416
On the LR website, Max. axle weights are shown as:
RRS Front 1470
RRS Rear 1710Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
