17-19.04.2009 Off Road in Saverne (F)

Mainly a question for our Swiss members...

The LR Lux club is organising this with the Schweizer Club Edelweiss. Anyone on here members and thinking of going ?
The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."
Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."
Club "yes, I too once had the car at the dealer for a couple of weeks nearly 4 weeks over 4 weeks...5 weeks"
Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

JF, I've just written out my membership virement and I've started to receive e-mail from the club. If you're signing up for this, would you add my name, too? Thumbs Up

Will do...(if I sign up). Need to see if I can squeeze it in as I seem to be away every weekend from next week through to June...and not much of it with Mrs JF

I'll let you know later this week.

(Won't be going to the May 23rd training weekend at Saverne unfortunately. It's the weekend we go on a week's holiday to Holland. I did suggest delaying it by a day and taking a new route via France...I'm now hobbling a bit, talking in a squeeky voice and searching for a couple of round things.... Laughing )

My April is already nearly fully booked. So I'm going to pass on this one.
Saverne is 8) though. I can recommend it.

Cheers,
Florian

I pass too.

Maybe Mai or June could be a option if I can get my act together with maybe a little help from userfehler Whistle

Is this exclusive for club members? If not I might stop by for a few hours. Participating the whole weekend won't work.

Cheers,
Florian

I have signed up through the Land Rover Luxembourg website. Mounty, userfehler, I hope to see you there, if only for a few hours. I will be there on the Saturday and Sunday. If the weather is good then I will bring a tent. If not good, I will find a pension to stay in. I hope for sunshine - spring is here and everything is coming alive again. Smile

JF Lux, are you coming?

I will come Saturday or Sunday. I try to make to be at the same time there as userfehler. So we can drive together around Saverne as it is very large and it is more fun to drive around together. Also get easily lost.

Can we join just like this?

Will you put on the event site so maybe some other Discodrivers want to join?

userfehler! let me know when you going. Maybe can drive there together.

I just received this from the secretary of the LR Club Luxembourg:

Mathuelen: Gutt Laun an alles waars du braus (Iessen,Schloofsack asw.)

I think I understand it but the only one who speaks Luxembourgish in our house is the boy, but he's not yet 6 and he can't read yet. Confused

Anyway, I'll probably head down with the Luxembourg contingent and spend the day at Saverne. I'll come home on Saturday night - I can't stick around on the Sunday. I will bring the boy with me so that I can communicate with people.

JF Lux, Mounty, userfehler, are you going?

Bump ...

I guess that JF Lux wants to come but can't say because he's not allowed to log onto the site after my SWMBO let the cat out of the bag to his SWMBO at a BBQ yesterday, thus:

My SWMBO: "Are you going this weekend?"

His SWMBO: "Going where?"

My SWMBO: "To the Land Rover meeting ..."

His SWMBO: "What Land Rover meeting?"

JF Lux: "Err ... err ... well ... Darling ..."

So, bump ... or crash, bang, wallop ... Whistle

I will try to come: Can't leave you alone with alll those people that you don't understand, but i'm in the middel of buying another car and must maybe make a viewing in Sion (Valais) so I only can say on shorth notice, would bring my three kids (9 and 9 and 11, Boy is nine) Does your boy speak german?

Is userfehler chickening out? Need someone to make the famous videos and they will be enough material with my camera too. @userfelher there is no bike weather on Saturaday and buy Gabrieal a nice dinner saturday night and she will let you go. Anyway if your biking you can lend me a bit the roadster Whistle . I know I won't get it, you rather fill the whole garage Wink with anything that has wheels. What is next a speedboat Wink

Hmm now you've got me thinking ... Whistle

Sat is blocked. I'm in negotiations about Sunday. At the moment it rather looks like I'm not going to make it.
After all I've just returned from a (Motorbike)trip and will do another one later this month.

Cheers,
Florian

Daniel,

I will be there on Saturday. The boy speaks Luxembourgish, which I think is a bit like French with a Bitburg accent. Wink

I am trying to decide whether to come down with the LR Club Luxembourg (ETA 11:00 at Saverne) or on my own, to arrive earlier. What time are you planning to arrive?

I will bring a camera, but no movie capability.

Daniel, I have also sent you a PM.

JF Lux, are you there?
