Ducati,
Tiger is great (and no I'm not saying that as I work for the Company)... machine feels zippier, Spotlight is amazing, dashboard is very useful and cool looking to boot.
The new H264 stuff in QuickTime 7 is awesome... especially the HD 1080i playback !
Mail 2 is far better... in fact the whole thing is far far better and well worth a trip to your local Store to purchase.

Sounds like a worthwhile upgrade. I absolutely love Expose from 10.3... That has completely changed the way I use our Mac! Too bad I don't use them at work, as I love that OS (excepting network performance). '05 LR3 HSE

I like the Mac pre-heater on Tiger - I think it was actually there with Panther but you had to leave iTunes running for it to work.

Ah... you must be running a PowerBook ? The pre heater is easily activated by running a process that uses 100% of the CPU... not long and your machine is nice and warm on your lap

We have one of those (Powerbooks). That thing is way noisier and hotter than our old iBook. Of course, it actually works more than a few months at a time, so I'll take that in trade. '05 LR3 HSE

I never restart my machine unless asked to do so by an application installer... it just sleeps. So been on with no crashing since 10.4.1 was installed. And I edit video, do motion graphics, compositing, audio work etc...
As well as the forum of course
Also I have NOT HAD A VIRUS, or SPYWARE, or any other such nasty since OS X came out 4 years ago or so.
The noise is the HD spinning and occasionally you'll hear the fan if you get a bit carried away doing too much work
Also I am getting carried away with the Apple thing again... sorry chaps.

Getting back on topic, the 2006 changes on the HSE are:
Centre Cooler Fridge
Bluetooth PTI
Rear Aircon
its £1500 more, for £1570 worth of accessories
LR wanted this to be standard spec from the start but the suppliers couldnt supply the parts, so the car was "reduced" in price until they had enough stock.
The only reason i know this is that LR are finally changing my car due to paint trouble and am getting an 06 model.... after paying the difference of course!!!

The LR guy at the Canary Wharf motorshow today also mentioned adaptive xenons in the 2006 HSE. He said that TDV6 HSEs are flying out of the dealers at the moment but the other models are moving more slowly. They had a Disco with the Day tent on the back - looked pretty cool and were doing the LR experience thing with the steel ramps and the great big hump backed bridge thing. Very impressive.

Woodman, what paint trouble have you had? Mine is very orange peely on the rear wings - I presume yours is more serious to justify a full swap?

bad orange peel but main reason is 16 dirt inclusions under the paintwork all over the car and LR offered a respray of the total car
i just said no and demaded a new one!
5000 miles on, still waiting for it - but no rush eh!

Please tell me if I can benefit from this - I'm on verge of buying a new standard 7 seater (+auto, park distance sensors, leather, paint & rails) for £31,700. But would LOVE an HSE!

jumblemo, you could well. If you send me your personal e mail with your location, I will send you my contact. Not allowed to put it on the web anymore as too much competition for LR UK.
