Wheel liner problem

Hi All,

Just noticed this inner liner coming off my rear drivers side wheel arch;

Click image to enlarge

Whats the best way of putting it back or is it a new liner?

Cheers.

Thumbs Up

Mine did exactly the same, I used a hot melt glue gun, which has seemed to work ok, but probably a new one would be best

Btw . . . It's not the whole liner, just a length of trim Thumbs Up

HI Dave,
Those are little strips available separately, not part of the arch liner, about £15 per strip I think

regards
Steve

Hi Dave Thumbs Up ,

When you get you parts put both sides in waxoyl before changing them. It is only a small rubber part with a even smaller aluminum stripe in. This stripe is exposed on both sides to the salty winter environment what cause a kind of oxidation. I think it's aluminum corrosion, and it turns the stripe into something like white sand.

I did it this year to my D3 stopping the water getting in and hopfully prevent this happening again.

Cheers
Gerd
