No ... I get why they have done it and support it absolutely.

HOWEVER ... wtf didn't they just not show it in the first place. It's been a "known issue" for a while.

I'm hoping SWMBO spots it on the news and it's not me that has to break it to her it's not on after watching it all week.

I'm pretty sure it will be MY fault somehow. Laughing

Utility suppliers

Just been offered the ‘best’ tariff option by my electricity supplier. A check on USwitch suggested it wasn’t far off the mark. However, on checking the tariff rates on my supplier’s website, there were far more attractive alternatives shown, buried amongst dozens of alternatives. Why not just offer the real best option in the first place? Also, why didn’t USwitch find this?

Anyway, the upshot (and not part of the rant) is that I’ve just saved myself £700 p.a.

Been dogging again?
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

We live >20 miles from the nearest McDonalds and on a reasonably quiet B-road yet McDonalds packaging regularly appears at the side of the road, today being one of those instances. It can't be beyond the wit of man to unambiguously and reliably mark items with the registration mark of the vehicles of drive-thru (sic) customers so it is more effort to remove the marks than taking it home or using a bin. The concept of personal responsibility seems to have gone for a burton - someone else will clear it up. Rolling Eyes

Same here. We're at least 10 miles from the nearest McD, yet every week there is the remains of a whole meal strewn along the verges locally. If I ever catch someone Twisted Evil !!

Better yet, ban McDonalds and give people cookery lessons. Thumbs Up

^^^ that's a bit of a condescending viewpoint... nothing wrong with Maccy Dee's - time and a place.

What's got up my nose today, yet again my employer is shooting itself in the foot chasing short term profit at all cost by looking to get rid of the people who actually generate the sales... really really stupid. Pondering my options for the second year in a row on whether to jack it or fight on...

The time and place for "Maccy Dee's" is inside one of their establishments. Not all over the countryside... Thumbs Up

You're making the mistake that your one-eyed view is the correct and only position to take.

I'm taking the view that Maccy Dee's shouldn't be discarded around the countryside. Admittedly, I'm surprised anyone would think otherwise.

No you're not - you're looking down your nose at anyone who might eat their stuff and "should be taught to cook" FFS

and BTW of course I agree people shouldn't be littering the countryside with their packaging
