Hello
New to the group, I have recently purchased 2 discovery 3's (long story) but one will be back up for sale soon (Red SE) and I will be left with a long awaited Rimini red HSE with black leather. I have been looking a long time and I have learnt so much already but this is a great place to find information so thank you.
I have a few toys on the HSE already but I am sure I will be looking for advise on bits as I go..
Kind Regards
Owain

Hello
Just joined after buying my first Disco. I've had a couple of RR Classics before so I'm not entirely new to the wonderful world of "How Much!" and "Not Again!". It's an '06 TDV6 in Zambezi Silver (First silver car as well) with 69K on the clock and my plans are to ditch the side steps (already have the Shire Fabrication Rock and Tree sliders to go on), the fog lamps don't work but I have LED's to go on on their place, Roof Rails are on the way, upgrade the stereo, and I have a set of 19"'s to go on once I have decided what tyres I want.

Not taken ownership yet, but deposit down on a Disco 3 HSE and looking to familiarise myself with retrofit options, common fixes to known issues, etc.
Thanks in advance for the help I’m sure I’ll get 😂

Hello to anyone reading my very 1st message.
First my apologies if I've posted this message twice
I found this site thanks to very helpful D3 owner at Colemere in Shropshire.
It's was just by chance.. Love it when the planets align.
I am soon to be in the market to buy a Discovery 3 or 4. (or range rover Rolling Eyes)
If the last sentence is gonna get me banned straight away then please let me know Question
I have to say Smile I'm really exited to be joining this forum, so again.. Thanks an awful lot for any help that helps make this happen for me.
The thought of driving to the beach ( 1 hour away) and feeling fresh and not ruined when getting there would be fabulous.
I have a quite a painful back problem and I'm in all kinds of pain pretty much all the time so the more comfortable the better.
What I need.
1.) a very supportive seat with a very good lumber support.
I know some seats( worn in seats ) are great for some people, but not for me,.. I need as new ( supportive) as possible.
2.) a hide ride vehicle to help me get in and out better.. The thought of that would be ace.
I think I've probally got around 8k cash to buy one.
I'd like an HSE with good service please.
If anyone knows of one for sale and is willing to gulde me a little then please get in touch.
All questions will be answered with a smile.
Cheers, Pete

New to Forum from Ireland
Hi All
Ive used the info in this forum before but never had time with work to sign up. In Ireland with a stock grey 06. I used to run a Jap pajero and still miss that but got the Disco as I have always loved the boxy shape.
Ive had her nearly 3 years and its been well behaved. Usual issues, scary and lethal handling when I bought it, turned out to be worn tyres, the turbo actuator issue repaired with a knitting needle and the usual little electrical gremlins like door latches etc.
As for modifying it. Im mainly interested in maintaining it but I would like Leather seats for ease of cleaning and if the next month I have to look at the timing belt and oil pump. The joys!

New member to the party
Morning D3/4 owners.
Joining the site from Shropshire as a new member. However I've been browsing the site for some months now. There are some great resources here, I'm learning a lot. Thanks for being so helpful to one another.
Looking to join the Discovery world soon with a purchase. Likely a D3 as for what I want I can't justify the D4 [just yet ]for the occasional use I'm intending to get from a vehicle. So I will be settling for an high end spec early model. Currently looking to use it for poor weather, towing and scout/guide camps. Possibly some green laning in the future as my partner went on a LR experience when her father bought his last RR and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We are currently running a freelander 1 for the same purpose as above but looking for something a bit more modern with more grunt. Much as I love the Hippo she's showing her age.
We are really lucky to have a really good local specialist who has looked after the family LRs for years so the deep maintenance or anything I can't do is covered.
Watch this space and I hopefully will update you all soon.
Have fun and stay safe.
Morgan

Me presento
Hello everybody. I introduce myself as a new member. I have a Disc 3 that I bought new in 2008, and it is the car that I always wanted and that has given me, and hopes it will continue to give me many years, great satisfaction both on the road and off-road. I do most of the maintenance and repair operations myself (which is usually a lot). I came across this great forum searching the internet for repair information and tutorials, and they are very useful to me.
Thank you for accept my request
