Warranty poll

I am mulling over my warranty renewal and thought it would be interesting to find out who pays for an extended warranty and who doesn't.

Steve You remind me of a younger me, not much younger mind...perhaps even a little older!

I was in two minds to get a warranty but eventually went with the LR extended warranty when my last D4 reached 3 years old back in March. The whole turbo unit was replaced under warranty back in July/August. Cost to Warranty was £4,500. Even if I’d paid an independent to do the work it would have been considerably more than the cost of the warranty.

In addition I had no paperwork or advanced payment etc. Plus I was given a brand new Evoque to use. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
2010 D4 HSE (A bit bling)-GONE
2014 D4 HSE (Almost too bling)-GONE
2015 D4 HSE (A heated what?)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Written Off)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Surely the last!) PD1881 rims-GONE

My extended warranty is just coming to an end and I was going to retake the warranty back out, but having just collect my d4 for water in passenger footwell it looks like the warranty doesn’t cover certain parts of water ingress and the stuff it does cover is a “gray area”. So just had a £300 bill that was over £600 but argued the point and I’m not convinced it’s cured as car was collect wetter than when I went in.
