uploading pictures

I'm having trouble uploading some pictures.

I've followed the instructions elsehwere in this section but get the following error when hitting "continue" after selecting a picture.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 12288 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/disco3.co.uk/httpdocs/gallery/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 217

Any ideas ?

Tried a few times over the last hour.
Got one on but the other times it returns "0 uploads were successful." each time after a considerable delay whilst it is thinking about things.

It might be that your original images are too big (resolution) for the gallery to cope with, could you possible try it with smaller/resized images?

Martin,
I wonder if ther is a problem with the server tonight. I am running Mozilla FireFox and it's taking quite a while longer tonight for pages to load up than normal.

resized from 2.4MB to 700k and it uploaded fine.

The first one that got through OK an hour or so ago was 1.9MB so perhaps > than 2MB is the limit ?
