When I removed the transmission sump pan, I had to remove the right engine mounting nut and jack up the engine. Also had to remove the valve body to enable the pan to come off.
I could have sawn through the filter pipe but chose not to.
As LR parts are expensive and hard to come by in NZ. I ground out the plastic sump filter and mounting nodules, to enable me to fit a replacement metal pan filter.
By the way all the diffs and trans box have fill / level plugs.
I have measured the correct amount to fill, which can then be seen coming out of the level hole.
