Use the search function this has been covered many times.

The quick facts are your original head unit and amp under the seat communicate via a fibre optics network so there are no speaker wires behind the head unit which means you cant just swap the head unit for an aftermarket one.
If your system is working as it should you can install a unit where the sat nav fits and it connects to the original system via the aux input.

Thanks for the answer. However previous owner has put a Kenwood DNX5220BT unit which is a double Din. So I assume electric has been done.

Yes there other ways to do it but to do it correctly is not cheap

There a couple ways it could have been done.
Run a loom from the head unit to the speaker wires under the seat which does away with the amp and gives poor quality sound.
The other more expenvive way is to buy a kit from a company called Connect2 who make a kit that turns the speaker outputs of the hew head unit into fibre optics so the head unit can connect to the amp, there are also other units in the kit that allow you to keep other original functions like the sat nav and steering wheel controls.

I would pull your head unit out and have a look what they have done but it sounds like you can just replace the head unit with another aftermarket one
