Je dois répondre à une letter écrit en français à un ami en ce qui concerne le matériel de délivrance de montagne. Mon ami ne sait point aucun mot de français


Je ne sais pas si employer le mot " ; le bancard" ; ou " ; La Civiere" ; pour le " ; stretcher" ;

Est-ce qu'on peut m'aider?

Hello,

Tu veux sans doute dire: "Matériel de sauvetage en montagne" ("délivrance de montagne" ne veut pas dire grand chose)

Les mots "Brancard" (avec un R) et "Civière" ont exactement la même signification et c'est bien la traduction de "stretcher"

PS - annoying, that... I instinctively use "sauvetage" in translating Mountain Rescue - ho dictionaries can lead you astray!!! Evil or Very Mad 2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods

Yes, "to rescue" is "délivrer" in French for a prisoner but is "sauver" for a person in distress.

You can also use "secours en montagne" and "secourir" (verb) "secouristes" (men).
D'ailleurs, c'est même mieux...

I know, it's not easy !
