Perhaps it would be worth doing a forum search on this first pom...........
Been done to death in the past so it's just dragging up old arguements
Should you go for one or other of them? - YES Hell, why not do both!!!The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Does anyone have the technical differences between these two. (facts rather than opinions, i dont think we want to enter into the mines-better-than-yours arguments again.) ie graphs of bhp, torq acceleration etc. Coulndt find anything on other posts.
I have the TurboChip and been more than happy with it. I saw a small MPG improvement and more black smoke when it kicks down under heavy load .... then i put the roof rack on
Not driven a Torqtune thoughDuncan

yeah thanks. ive read that, but i still cant find any technical data everything seems to be based on experiences. I could write pages on my experiences, but what i'm after is the technical graphs for instance of a dyno or some similar contraption so i can compare the turbochip I have with the torqtune i dont have. I can then make a factual decision on whether to ditch the Turbochip in favour of Torqtune or keep what i have.
decisions, decisions Duncan

I'm sure if you talk to TFC he will provide you with the relative information Dunc 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
In my experience with dealings with TFC, he is a very professional man, he refrains from saying that his tune is better than anyone else's and refuses to 'dis' other tunes, very diplomatic 8) Nice chap I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Mine was TurboChipped from new. No problems at all and good customer service re-doing the tune after it was overwritten during a service.
If I had another D3, I would certainly have it tuned again. I'd be inclined to try the TorqueTune route this time, for no other reason than for the sake of sampling the difference, and because TFC is one of our guys.
In the same way, a Mars a day helps work rest and play, but every now and again you just want to try a Cadburys Caramel! The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
