Service Indicator
Hi,
Just wondered if all models have the service indicator display on the dashboard? The manual says that on ignition position 'I' it should display the service info, I just get a blank display. My disco is a 2005, Manual, TD6, S.
Could the previous owner have had it switched off? If so can it be switched back on?
Thanks

The SIA can be disabled, and also re-enabled with the correct diagnostic equipment My D3 Build Thread

Really.... I thought it was a count down. What's the point if it only comes on when the service is due?
And what diagnostic kit would I need?

It is a countdown. It counts down from 30 days, or 1000 miles before the service is due
To reset, you need a Hawkeye, IID or similar. Not sure if the BBS FCR can reset service lights, but someone else will be able to confirm.
Alternatively, find a site sponsor local to you, who can reset it for a few beer tokens My D3 Build Thread

Just to confirm that the BBS FCR cannot reset the service indicator, there is however, the BBS SRT (service reset tool), with this you can reset, alter the countdown settings, or switch them off completely.
