Can brake switch affect compressor?

I've had the suspension warning light coming on and going off for the last month, I've fitted new exhaust valve to the compressor, fitted a spare compressor, changed the relay, still the same, today with the aid of my new Iid Tool(purchased because of this problem, well it was an excuse) I find that if I move the car 3" either way and dab the brakes the temperature of the compressor motor jumps from 70c/80c to 199c and up pops the warning light, if I do it again it jumps back and the light goes off Shocked
Both compressors are reaching 1780 KPa gallery pressure in a reasonable time, both reach 100+ psi on a bench test, highest I dare go with my gauge. Question is, could it possibly be the brake switch?- it does not happen if I just press the brake I have to move slightly in either direction in auto.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Yes, the brake switch has been well-documented on this forum as a cause of suspension dropping, warning lights etc., as have stop and tail bulbs too! Worth using good quality ones, and always changing in pairs.

I changed my brake switch recently "preventatively". Worth doing for around a tenner and 10 mins to do job. Dead easy. Just don't disturb the plunger as you fit it.

Thumbs Up
