Yesterday I had some well needed new boots installed. All was well and I drove about 30 miles afterwards with no problems.
Then I clip a hidden kerb entering a car part and think nothing of it. Within miles the auto box decided to stop changing gear and I had to switch to manual. I also noticed the lack of cruise control even when I switch back to full auto.
I stopped the car and let it settle. Started up and all had cleared. I then drove home and within a mile I lost auto again. Swapping between auto and manual sometimes brought it back.
After about 10 miles the suspension dropped and I got full warning lights. I did however get automatic back,
I stopped and restarted. All cleared then an engine fail warning. Again stopped and restarted. All clear.
I drove the last 10 miles home on dropped suspension.
I noticed a squeal from the rear brakes and the alloy was very hot when I got home.
I know I have a parking brake issue I need to address but can it all be connected???
Im going to take the rear wheel off that was hot and start there with the brakes.
Any other suggestions

In clipping the kerb, you have disturbed the wheel alignment, putting the steering angle sensor out of the straight ahead position. This would cause all of the faults you describe.

its hidden when your in a D3!! I then watched the next three cars into the hospital car park bounce off it as well.
Character, interested in what you said about resets. When I drove the car today I had no errors, I dont think the problem has gone away but I'm hoping that a decent company using laser technology can deliver the right results.

It's not the alignment, it's actually the relay that's turning off the daylights when the sides come on!
At the aligners now and be says visually its fine but he won't align as the bushes are worn. Not worth doing till they are fixed.

How can a loose wire heat up the rear brakes ? Don't think that's possible even on a D3 (this last Emoticon has nothing to do with subject - I just like it !)Life always good with a Landy
