Buying Advice Appreciated

Hi,
I am new to the site and not yet an owner.
I am looking to buy a pre March 23rd 2006 Discovery 3 (lower tax), but after reading reviews with horrific problems I'm not sure whether this is a good idea.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated:
Price
Mileage to look for or stay way from,
Spec,
Manual or auto,
Common faults etc.

Thanks in advance,
Jase

Hi,

Any advice would be greatly appreciated:
Price - as low as possible obviously
Mileage to look for or stay way from - high mileage D3 isn't a problem as long as properly looked after
Spec - whatever gadgets make you tick would indicate trim level you should go for
Manual or auto - some say auto is the best but manual is drivers car Wink
Common faults etc -too many to list but nothing what this forum would not help out with

best advice: check it well before purchase and once paid for enjoy as much as possible

all car break so start worrying when it happens

G
